FMPAC Conference

Orlando, FL

The third meeting for this school year was held on February 25th and 26th in Orlando, FL at the Rosen Center Plaza Hotel. There were 17 members present along with Ms. Carol Gagliano, State Migrant Director. Two new additions were made to the FMPAC, Mrs. Maria Leon representing Dade Co. and Mrs. Ofelia Rodriguez representing PAEC. Mrs. Lessie Correa, an elementary teacher presented the third leadership session titled the Parent Teacher Conference using the MALDEF material. The material consisted of Academic standards, EL students, and student portfolios. Mrs. Lucia Robles from Putnam County did the second session of computer training. Parents were shown how to turn a computer on and off, how to access a word document, change font type, and size. The minutes from the November meeting in Orlando, FL were reviewed and approved. The fourth annual FMPAC meeting is scheduled for April 8th and 9th in Orlando, FL at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.
